This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website selink.co.tz (the "Site") and use our SGR Ticket Generator service. A. Information You Provide to Us
- SGR Payment SMS: The full text of the payment confirmation SMS from TRC, which contains your Full Name, Travel Date, Time, Origin, Destination, Class, Coach Number, Seat Number, and Ticket Number.
- Contact Information: Your email address, which is required for delivering the digital ticket, and your mobile phone number, which is required for processing the service fee payment.
B. Transactional Data
When you pay the service fee, we collect transaction-related information, including the payment reference number, the SeLink-generated order ID, payment status, and metadata related to the transaction. We do not store your credit card or mobile money PIN details.
2. How We Use Your Information
Having accurate information permits us to provide a seamless service. Specifically, we use the collected information to:
- Parse your SMS to create a digital ticket.
- Process the service fee payment through our payment partner.
- Deliver the final digital ticket in PDF format to your provided email address.
- Send a transaction confirmation and a temporary ticket download code to your phone via SMS.
- Respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve the Service and prevent fraudulent activity.
- Maintain internal records of transactions for administrative purposes.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations with the following trusted third parties to perform our service:
- Payment Processors (e.g., ZenoPay): We share your phone number, name, and email to securely process the TZS 500 service fee.
- SMS Gateway Providers (e.g., Briq): We share your phone number and name to send you the transaction confirmation and download code.
- By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others.
4. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Your ticket data is stored temporarily in a JSON file on our server, which is protected from public access. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure your data, no security measures are perfect, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against interception or misuse.
5. Data Retention
We are committed to minimizing data storage. The JSON file containing your ticket details is stored on our server for a maximum of 24 hours to facilitate the "Download with Code" feature. After this period, the file is automatically and permanently deleted by a scheduled task. Transactional logs sent to SheetDB for administrative purposes may be retained for a longer period as required for business and support records.
