1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the SeLink SGR Ticket Generator service (the "Service") provided on our website selink.co.tz (the "Site"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with all of these terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Site and must discontinue use immediately.
2. The Service
SeLink provides a third-party tool that converts a valid Tanzania Railway Corporation (TRC) SGR payment confirmation SMS into a digital, QR-coded ticket format for a convenience fee. Our service includes:
- Parsing of the user-provided SMS to extract ticket details.
- Generation of a digital ticket preview for user verification.
- Processing a service fee payment through a secure third-party gateway.
- Delivery of the final digital ticket as a PDF via email and providing a temporary download code via SMS.
3. Disclaimer of Affiliation
SeLink is an independent service and is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Tanzania Railway Corporation (TRC). All TRC names, logos, and trademarks are the property of TRC. Our service is a convenience tool and not an official ticketing channel.
4. User Responsibilities
As a user of the Service, you are responsible for:
- Providing a complete, accurate, and unaltered payment confirmation SMS received from TRC.
- Carefully verifying that all details (name, date, route, etc.) extracted and displayed by our Service are correct before proceeding to payment.
- The security of the digital ticket (PDF, email, and download code) once it has been delivered to you.
- Complying with all TRC travel policies, which includes presenting a valid form of identification that matches the name on the ticket at the station.
5. Service Fee and Payments
A non-refundable service fee of TZS 1000 is charged for each successful ticket generation. This fee covers the cost of the conversion service, payment processing, and digital delivery. This fee is separate from the original ticket fare you paid to TRC. All payments are processed securely through our payment gateway partner. The service fee is non-refundable once the digital ticket has been successfully generated and delivered to your email.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SeLink and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service.
- Any errors or inaccuracies in the digital ticket that result from an incorrect or incomplete SMS provided by you.
- Denial of boarding by TRC for any reason, including discrepancies between the ticket and your identification or any other violation of TRC policy.
- The temporary unavailability of the service due to maintenance or technical issues.
7. Prohibited Activities
You are strictly prohibited from using the Service to create fraudulent, altered, or counterfeit tickets. Any attempt to misuse the service for illegal or deceptive purposes will result in an immediate ban and may be reported to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of these Terms. Your continued use of the Site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Service.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
